It’s that time again to meet our Waifs of the Week: Rory, Ringo, and Benji!
This is Rory, a gorgeous four-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix. She’s the perfect combination of sweet and cuddly, and energetic and active! She’s a sweet girl who is already crate-trained and housebroken. She first came to Wayside about three years ago, and she spent some time in foster before getting adopted. That did not work out however, and she was transferred back here from another shelter. Life is meant to be savored and enjoyed, so she is making the most of it here! She’s definitely a staff and volunteer favorite, and some remember her from a few years ago. She is looking for that forever home with you though! She’s very well-behaved in a home and a fenced-in yard, and she loves car rides! She’s an active girl, and is a great walking/running partner. She loves her exercise, and she loves a buddy to go on runs with! She is a smart girl who is looking to learn even more things with you. She loves praise, so just tell her she is being a good girl and she will respond happily! While she does love her play sessions, she would love nothing more than to cool off with someone and end the day with a snuggle session. She loves attention, so her new home should give her plenty of Rory time so she can be happy! A perfect day for Rory would be to exercise, play, and end it with some cuddle time. That sounds so nice. Because Rory is energetic, she asks that she goes to a home without children under the age of five, because she does not want to hurt them! She also wants all the attention for herself, so she prefers to be the only animal in the home. More love to give! She is ready to meet you whenever you are, come out to Wayside and see this amazing girl!

Meet Ringo, a strapping young cat with no English accent. He’s five years old, and while he does not sing or play the drums, he makes up for it in making biscuits and purring! He’s a sweet, loving boy, and he has a beautiful pink nose that stands out for all the right reasons! He originally came to Wayside from another shelter as they were low on space. However, he is pleased to be here and he is ready to find that fur-ever home. He’s naturally curious, and his favorite pastime is exploring our sunroom here. That room is all windows, and they can watch birds out back, and most typically enjoy it! That being said, he would love a window in his future home that he can look out of. Are you looking for a mellow, sweet boy to bring music to your heart? He gets by with a little help from his friends!

Here’s Benji, an exquisite eight-year-old American Bulldog mix who was found as a stray by a good Samaritan. Luckily they brought her here to Wayside and gave her a second chance at life! She’s a sweet lady who is ready to retire in a forever home, potentially with you! She’s an older gal, so she would like a calm, quiet home to enjoy her days in. She does love to play, and squeaky toys are her favorite, but don’t worry, she is a gentle player! She’s also very smart, because she knows the commands sit, down, come, and stay already. She does love to learn though, so if you give her yummy treats and praise, she’s ready to go! While she does have little bursts of energy, her favorite thing to do is cuddling. She LOVES attention and belly rubs. If you’re looking for someone to spend some quality time with, who will always be there to listen, and who will be an all around grrr-eat companion, Benji is your girl. Come meet her today!
