Happy Waif Wednesday! We’re excited to introduce you to our paw-mazing Waifs of the Week: Shylla, Don, and Rudie Roo. These three lovebugs are so ready to find their forever families!
Hi there, I’m Shylla! I’m smart, affectionate 2-year-old sweetheart and there is no place on this earth that I’d rather be than right by your side. I came to Wayside as a stray, so I can’t wait to find my family!
My friends here at Wayside have helped me with a lot. I’m almost housebroken and crate trained, and I’ve learned how to trust and love people. Right now, I live in a foster home so I could learn about life with a family!
Foster mom understands that I needed a little extra time to relax and unwind. I stay in a gated room or in my crate when no one is home because I’m still working on my housebreaking skills. All I ask is that you’re patient with me! I also know all sorts of commands that I can’t wait to show you. I’m a good girl!
I’m affectionate and cuddly and I like to give kisses. I’ll even crawl up in your lap if you let me! I’m also energetic and playful. I love walks, runs, and I’m car rides. I walk great on my leash, especially when I use a harness. If you’re looking for a jogging partner, I’m your gal! I live with other dogs in my foster home, and we all get along great. I’d love to have another playful dog in my forever home.

Greetings! My name is Don, and I am so ready to be your best friend! I am a handsome, 2-year-old orange tabby with the prettiest light green eyes you’ve ever seen.
My friends at Wayside say that I am more interested in snuggling on their laps than playing, and I sometimes even crawl on their shoulders. I spent a little bit of time in a home, and it turns out that I love to play with other animals. If you have nice, energetic dogs, we might get along!

Hi there, I’m Rudie Roo! I’m a sweet five-year-old gal looking for my forever home. I came to Wayside as a transfer from a partner shelter when they ran out of space. Moving around was a little stressful, so I’m definitely ready to finally find my people!
I may be smaller, but I have a huge spunky personality. Ask anyone! I love playing with toys and other dogs, and I can make new friends in an instant, just as long as I’m in charge. Hey, I’m a natural leader. It’s what I do best!
I’m also super smart! I know “sit” and “down,” and I’m a pro at walking on a leash. Walks may be fun, but they’re also serious business for me – someone has to patrol the squirrels and birds, right? While I love my walks, they need to be pretty short and calm.
