Happy Waif Wednesday! Meet our three awesome Waifs of the Week: Athena, Herb, and Hobbs. These three lovebugs can’t wait to find their people!

Hey there, I’m Athena! I’m a 10-month-old sweetie pie, and I can’t wait to find my forever family. I may still be a puppy, but I’m very mature, promise!

My favorite activity is exploring –– outside, inside, you name it. I don’t like being bored, and I’m very curious about the big, beautiful world around me. If you’re looking for a best friend, I’m your girl. I’m also super smart. I love working for treats, I’m housebroken, I’m a great eater, and I already know “sit” and “down.” How impressive is that?

While I’m a very social pup, I get along best with adult humans and other dogs. I’ve had some experience at dog parks, and let me tell you, I’m a pro. I’m great on a leash, even though sometimes I might pull when I get excited. I just want to have fun!

I do request that you bring the whole family to meet me before you bring me home. I just want to make sure we can all be friends!

Hi there! My name is Herb, and it’s so nice to meet you!

I am a handsome 2-year-old guy with the softest, fluffiest fur you can imagine. I am proud of my fur, and I’ll sit happily on a lap while someone lovingly brushes it for me. Speaking of laps, I love them! I’m known around Wayside for being a sweet, loving lap cat. I’m a big fan of people, and I’d make a great sidekick for someone who is looking for a new best friend. I also enjoy watching birds and talking to them through the window, playing with wand toys, and eating treats. I’m a simple guy who enjoys the simple pleasures in life.

Hi there, my name is Hobbs!

I came to wonderful Wayside a little while ago on a transfer when my last place needed more room. That’s OK, because I know I will find my family very soon here! The people are super kind and like to show off my MANY talents. Some of my talents include my handsome face, of course––I was born with that, though! I also know the commands “look,” “sit,” “down,” and “shake!”  They say that qualifies me as a very smart fella. I walk nicely on a leash, and I am motivated by both treats and toys, so I hope you have some of those in my new home.

I am 65 pounds of solid lovable hunk and can’t wait to meet you. I do request that you bring the whole family, including dogs, to meet me before you take me home. I just want to make sure we can all be buddies!
