Partner Spotlight: Chicken N Pickle
Chicken N Pickle is one of Wayside’s generous partners. For a year and a half, Chicken N Pickle has held “Wayside Wednesdays”, an event on the first Wednesday of every month that donates 10% of sales back to Wayside. In exchange, Wayside brings waifs —both dogs and puppies – to meet people at Chicken N Pickle. In 2017, they raised over $12,000 for the homeless pets.
Chicken N Pickle is a dog-friendly venue located in North Kansas City. The 2-acre campus features both indoor and outdoor pickle ball courts, a restaurant with a full service bar, and multiple patio areas featuring yard games for both adults and children.
Dave Johnson, chairman of the local real estate company Maxus Properties, is the owner of Chicken N Pickle. Dave and his wife, Sandy, are longtime supporters of Wayside Waifs.
Kelli Alldredge is Chicken N Pickle’s Community and Charity Coordinator. She has been an avid supporter of Chicken N Pickle since it’s opening in 2016. Her focus is connecting and finding ways for Chicken N Pickle to support the community. The entire team is passionate about doing everything they can for the community. Kelli and her family have 2 dogs and 3 hermit crabs; she loves sharing her connection as an animal lover with her daughter.
