Please welcome our Waifs of the Week: George, Merle, and Dave!

“Hello there! I’m an adorable little kitten! I am a bundle of fun in a small package and I am so ready for a new family to call my own. Kittens are so much fun and boy do we love to play! I will need some work on training but we will have a lot of fun along the way. Being such a youngster I will definitely need both physical and mental stimulation to help me stay well rounded. Give me some fun and interactive toys in the mix and we will have the time of our lives! I think I should also tell you that I love to cuddle. Curl up with me and I will purr to show you just how happy I am; cuddles are my favorite! If you are looking for a new buddy to bring you smiles and cheer, come on out to Wayside Waifs and ask to meet me!”

“Hi, I’m Merle! I’m a handsome, Retriever/lab mix looking for a home. I was brought to Wayside when my last shelter ran out of space for me. Needless to say, I’m so ready to move on from shelter life and get to my fur-ever home! Maybe that home can be with you! I’m a friendly guy who would love to meet you! Bring the whole family out, including furry friends, when you come say hi. I’m super smart and love to learn new things. I already know the command sit but I’m eager to learn even more from you, especially when you motivate me with yummy treats! We can also have fun together by exploring the world on walks or romping around the yard. I’m a happy, fun guy who can’t wait to meet my fur-ever peeps. Come by soon to see if I’m the one you’ve been looking for!”

“Pleased to meet you! My name is Dave, and I’m one of the sweetest kitties you will ever meet. I came to Wayside as a stray. When I first came to Wayside, I was very shy and a little afraid of people when I first would meet them. Fortunately, Wayside has a program where staff and volunteers work with shy and fearful cats, called TABBY, and I am a proud graduate of that program. In fact, in my time here at Wayside, I have earned a PhD in showing my affection. Seriously, I am the king of cuddling and lap sitting! I have my own room here at Wayside, and I love it when people drop in to see me. My favorite thing in the world is to just cuddle with visitors and listen while they talk to me. True to my Secret Admirer Felineality, even though I can be a little shy on the outside, inside, I have a heart full of love to give. Like many cats who have spent some time as a stray, I am FIV-positive. It’s not a big deal. It just means I need good food, regular vet visits and an indoors-only lifestyle. Once you see what a sweet boy I am, you will never want me to be far from you anyway. Because I’m a sensitive guy, I would be happiest in a calm, quiet home with a patient adopter who will allow me plenty of time to get comfortable in my new surroundings. In return, I will give you all the love, warm laps and paw biscuits you could ever ask for. Sound like a good deal to you?”
