Happy Waif Wednesday! Meet our wonderful Waifs of the Week: Harlow, Maurie, and Huckleberry. One of our original Waifs of the Week found his forever family, so Maurie is taking his place. These three cuties can’t wait to find their people!
Hi there, I’m Harlow! I’m friendly, social, smart, and full of fun. I’m a darling, almost 3-year-old sweetheart with the most expressive face. I first came to Wayside about a year ago as a transfer from another shelter. I can’t wait to be part of a family and go on adventures together and do all the fun stuff that families do!
I’m super sweet and I love people! And guess what? I’m already housebroken and crate trained! I love to play with my toys, and I never turn down a tasty treat, which I’m happy to sit for. I love to learn, so hope you’ll teach me lots of new things! I love other dogs and I have excellent doggie social skills. I’d love another playful dog in my life, but I’ll be happy as your only dog as well, as long as you spend lots of time with me! I love going for walks and I do awesome on my

Hi there, I’m Maurie! As you can see from my photos and video, I’m a handsome, grey and white tabby with bright green eyes. I’m a big guy, but I’m working on slimming down with diet and lots of exercise.
I was surrendered to Wayside when my owner could no longer take care of me. I was so scared and confused

Hi there, I’m Huckleberry! I’m a 1-year-old people-lover, and I cannot wait until the day that I have my very own family to love. I came to Wayside via the ASPCA after they rescued me. It feels so good to be safe, cared for, and loved!
Besides my stunning good looks, I’m friendly, social, athletic, and easy-going. I’d love to exercise, play, and act goofy with you, then curl up right next to you as we unwind for the day. I love treats, and I’m happy to sit for them. I’m a typical lab––eager to please and motivated by treats––so I hope you will continue training me. I’m curious yet a little wary of toys. I walk great on a leash, and I’d love a daily walk with you through our neighborhood! I’m still learning about doggie social skills, so if you do have another dog, I’ll need to meet them before we go home together, just to make sure we’re a good match for each other.
It’s hard for a social dog like me to be homeless. I need a family of my very own to take care of. I want to make you smile every single day! I’ll be patiently waiting for you, so come to Wayside and ask to meet me!
