Happy Waif Wednesday! Meet our absolutely amazing Waifs of the Week: Fluffy, Kenny, and Daisy Mae. One of our original Waifs of the Week, Maurie, found his forever family, so Daisy Mae is stepping up to the plate. These three cuties are so excited to find their families!
Hello there! My name is Fluffy. I am an adorable 8-year-old blue tuxedo cat with gorgeous golden eyes. I have a great personality, and I promise to be your very best friend! I came to Wayside when another shelter ran out of space. The staff here took amazing care of me, and the doctor checked me out. They found that I am FIV positive, which is really no big deal––it just means that my immune system is somewhat compromised. So, it’s important that I’m an indoor-only kitty and that I have regular vet checkups.

Hi there, I’m Kenny! You’ve probably heard of me––I’m kind of famous around these parts. I’m a handsome, 2-year-old bundle of energy with a gorgeous coat and a lovable personality. I came to Wayside as a transfer from the SPCA in Louisiana when they were running short on space. I’m game for anything, so I was happy to relocate to the Midwest. I’m quite popular here and I’ve managed to get involved in everything Wayside has to offer. What I long for though is a home and family of my very own!
I’ve joined the Wayside Runner’s Program, where I’m a green list runner, meaning I’m focused, I keep a nice pace, and I make an overall great running partner. My friends here gave me a harness for walks, and now I’m pretty much a pro––I never pull! I will need daily exercise in my life to help me stay happy, healthy, and calm. And besides the physical activity that I crave, it’s important to me to be able to use my brain. Please give me jobs to do and teach me what you expect from me. The sky is the limit with what I can learn!
I’m also an affectionate dog who loves attention from you. I like to get my belly rubbed and I like to curl up next to you to give you sweet kisses and cuddle. I also enjoy playing with toys and I can entertain myself with them if you’re busy with other stuff. Bottom line: I’m a fun, goofy, adventurous little dog who finds joy in everything I do!

Hi there, I’m Daisy Mae! I’m an adorable, 2-year-old sweetheart with beautiful fur and a bright smile. I came to Wayside after my last shelter ran out of space, and now it’s time for me to take the next step and find the people that I can call my family.
I am a loyal, affectionate, loving friend, once I get to know you. I’m shy and hesitant at first though and I just need a little extra time to know I can trust you. I’m looking for someone who can be patient and calm with me and gently praise me when I’m a good girl. I’m smart and I pick up on things quickly, so with a routine, I’ll feel settled in no time.
I’m a member of the Wayside Runner’s Group, so I’ll enjoy going for walks or runs with you! I prefer a quiet neighborhood or walking trails where I know what to expect, and I do pretty well on my leash. Noisy, high traffic areas make me nervous though and I’d love to have my very own fenced yard to relax and play in. I will need a home without other dogs, but I promise to show you so much love that I’ll be enough!
